Have you been wanting to do something in your life, but simply haven't done it yet? Or, have you tried to do something, but "failed" at it? Well, congratulations -- you've found the perfect article to help you succeed! This information is simple, but powerful, and if you follow it precisely you will be greatly rewarded. Success is easy when you have the right formula.
Step 1 to Success
Know what it is that you want. Know your end result, your goal. The more specific you can get, the better. If you ask yourself what you want, and you get an answer like, "I don't know," then ask yourself what you'd like as an outcome. Picture yourself in the scene of your most beneficial outcome. Feel what it would feel like. Let your imagination take you to a place of experience. Experience what it would be like for you to have, be, or do the end result. Again, the more specific the goal, the easier it will be for success.
Step 2 to Success
Take some action. Any action, at first. Simply getting up and stretching would be a start! Once you get truly focused, however, you will be drawn toward an action that is in the direction of your ultimate success. For example, if your goal is to land a job as a chef, a good beginning action would be to go online and do some research about excellent restaurants in your area. Another good action would be to find a person who is already employed as a chef for an informational interview. Brainstorm about possible actions that would relate to your goal and then choose the best ones.
Step 3 to Success
Pay attention to the results of your actions from step 2. Your ultimate success depends on you reaching for the best feeling you can find. For example, stretching could make you feel a bit more energized, therefore giving you more juice to take action on your next step. However, if you are doing something that is getting you frustrated, then stop that action and choose another one. It's not that the action is "bad," so you don't need to judge it, just stop the action for now, and go on to another one. The point is simply to notice, not to judge. If it feels bad, stop. If it feels good, keep going.
Step 4 to Success
Be flexible with your approach. If what you are doing (your actions) are not working, simply go on to the next action on your list. It's a matter of letting your emotions guide you, and not about forcing anything. If you are forcing or pushing something, it will only end up tiring you out. It's when you relax that your success is inevitable. Many believe that you have to push and force in order to be a success, but actually the opposite is true, and many succeed DESPITE all the pushing and forcing. It's in the moment of allowing, or relaxing, that success happens.
These four steps are the basis for all success. You can decide on the detailed steps, because each path will be different, but the basic course is always the same. You must know what you want, and use that goal as a basis for your actions. Notice the results you get from your actions and how they make you feel, and if it does n0t feel good, be flexible and go on to your next action. The action part is what makes life fun and exciting. We are not here to sit around and do nothing. We are here to enjoy life and experience all the fun things we can do in life. Today, come up with one thing that you want to achieve or succeed in. It can be as simple or grandiose as you want. Then, decide to take two actions that will take you closer to your goal. Just two actions will keep it manageable, and by actually taking action on them, you will feel closer to your success. It doesn't have to be huge, it just has to be something.

How To Trust During A Challenging Time
All of us have experienced it. Though they show up in different ways and at different times for each of us (divorce, financial woes, death, betrayal to name some of the top stresses) all of us are alike in that we've all had to face some kind of tough challenge in life (and most likely more than once). So if the inevitable challenge happens, what do you make of it? How do you trust that you did the right thing? How do you trust that it won't happen again? How do you trust that it's going to get better?
The first step toward trust is to face your experience head on. Be present with what is going on and allow yourself to fully feel your feelings. It's not about wallowing, but about trust in your connection to Source (also known as God, All That Is, and other names for the truly nameless). On a very deep and connected level, you are right on track, and there is a gift that is proportionate to the experience. The bigger the challenge, the bigger the gift. If you turn away from the experience, not only will it persist, but the gift will go unopened. Face the experience, trust yourself to be exactly in the right place, and things will begin to get clear.
The next step to take during a challenge is to remember what is truly important to you in your life. We all have people and causes in life that are important to us. These are good and important reasons to bolster your trust in yourself during a difficult challenge. When you focus on the important things in life, it gives you a better perspective and renewed connection. It will help you to start thinking about more positive aspects of your life and it is the beginning step toward what you do want to happen, and the beginning step toward releasing the trauma of a challenge. If you want a great place to start, start with your breathing. Say to yourself, "I can take a deep breath and relax into it. I am alive." Next, think about what you love in this world. All that you love is true, because it is in your heart, and that is something you can trust.
The final step toward opening to trust is to give yourself the gift of being fully present, even if it's only for a few moments at a time. Maybe your life has been hectic or stressful lately, but you can always find at least a few minutes to meditate, or even just breath. A private stall in a bathroom can even give you some solitary moments for you to simply "be" and breathe. If you can listen to relaxation recordings or beautiful and inspiring music that you love, all the better. Give yourself this gift of being present with yourself and you will connect to your trust, to your Source of inner knowing.
Once you go through these first few steps, the current challenge you are facing will be more in perspective. What you make of it will be more positive and less overwhelming. You can trust that you did the right thing because you let go, even just a little, of the trauma, and you remember that all steps in life have a purpose and a gift. Once you truly face your fear, allow it to just be, and remember what is truly important to you, you can release the experience and you never have to go through it again. And isn't that better? Let the challenge be the gift. Trust yourself.

Women and the Art of Self-Esteem
Women
How many women do you know who have a high dose of healthy self-esteem? I'm not talking about conceit, or aggressive behavior, or rudeness (all forms of masking low self-esteem). I'm talking about a quiet confidence that is genuine, loving, kind, and always healthy.
A woman with high self-esteem is rarely critical of herself or others. She can critique what is wrong, but it doesn't turn into a complaint, and it doesn't go on and on and on. A woman with high self-esteem is calm as opposed to aggressive in her actions. She has a quiet and calm manner when presented with a problem. A woman with high self-esteem is very polite and is aware of others. She often notices if someone is uncomfortable or if they are in need of some assistance.
A woman with high self-esteem has learned how to clear out the negative feelings by noticing them and letting herself feel them, in the moment they occur, and simply by not fighting or resisting them, they fade away on their own, naturally. She is then clear, and simply herself in relation to her world. Negative feelings are not to be wrestled to the ground and put under control, but rather a natural part of any human life, and therefore, allowed.
A woman with high self-esteem has feelings about men, love, sex, and money. These are the areas where most women commonly feel blocked. A woman with high self-esteem clears these issues by allowing herself to have her own feelings come up and not judge them. She knows that her own personal power is not tied to a negative emotion, but to her positive attributes and talents (which, by the way, are usually the things she is very good at). Then, she allows those attributes and talents shine through by taking action on them in her everyday world at work, home or play.
Any woman who has ever suffered from low self-esteem, poor body image, or experienced frustrations with her partner knows that by dwelling on the negative she will get more negative experience. She would also know the difficulty in getting out of that vicious and down-hill cycle. A woman with high self-esteem has probably been through a lot of the low self-esteem experiences, but has made a decision. Somewhere along the way, she made a decision to stop, notice where she was in life, and choose to get clear on where she wants to be.
The Art
It is an art and a life-long journey to high self-esteem by feeling happy, alive, and magnificent. It starts with a decision. Ask yourself, are you happy with your life right now, exactly the way it is? Of the things that you are not happy with, simply notice where you are, what the situation is, as if you are an outside, detached observer. Now, regarding the situation, how do you want to feel? What is the best feeling you would like to have regarding your specific situation? Now you know where you want to be.
This is exactly what it takes to clear out the negativity and begin the journey of high self-esteem. Negativity simply falls away once you stop fighting and resisting it. The negativity is then replaced with more empowering qualities, because of the focus on what you do want, such as better body image, self confidence, and positive money habits.
A woman with high self-esteem can confidently say, "I am beautiful, healthy, wealthy, successful, at peace and in love,” and truly mean it!

Overwhelm: 3 Steps to Undo It
We’ve all been there. It’s happened to the best of us. It seems like it happens all of a sudden, but really it had been building for a while, under the radar. We didn’t pay attention to the nagging feelings of doubt, fear, or anxiety, because they were very low-level, not really huge in themselves, but they were there, nevertheless. We allowed our plate to get too full, slowly, the pile getting larger and larger, until finally . . . OVERWHELM!
In the moment overwhelm happens, all those nagging negative feelings surface with full unrelenting force, weighing down on our shoulders, neck, and back, the full fury of the entire pile we loaded onto our plate. It could be that individually, each of the pieces of this load is a small, easily managed piece, but added up, they are a force to be reckoned with. Your body goes into melt-down mode and your feelings are now front and center, caving in on you in the form of overwhelm.
You can distinctly and pointedly feel the overwhelmingly negative feelings that were just below the surface until now. And I say this is a GOOD thing. You have finally arrived at setting yourself straight and changing your course toward a healthy and strong outcome, instead of the downward spiral you were just in that lead to the overwhelm. Here are the first three steps you must take to get out of the overwhelm immediately:
Step #1: STOP
The very first thing you must do is STOP. I know it sounds like the last thing you should do, but that’s only because we live in an action-oriented world and you hear over and over how you should be DOING something to fix your problems. This is actually the opposite of what would help you for this situation of overwhelm. It was all the ACTION and DOING that got you into the mess of overwhelm, so ACTION and DOING will NOT get you out of it!
One way to stop the overwhelm is to give yourself a change of scenery. If you’re at the office, go to a quiet place where you can be by yourself, even if it’s a bathroom stall! Go outside if you can. Go to a coffee shop. Go make yourself a cup of tea. In any case, stop doing what you were doing, stop trying to fix anything, stop thinking about all that you have to do and give it a rest!
Step #2: BREATHE
Take a moment to breathe in deeply. Bring your awareness to your breathing and notice how it begins to help your muscles relax. Notice the tension that begins to melt away. Notice that you are alive! You are here for a reason and that reason has NOTHING to do with any of the “problems” you are facing in this moment. You are here to be free, to be in joy, to be abundant (do you notice that all these things are a state of BEING not DOING?). Your life is unfolding and expanding exactly as it was meant to and you are the one who can direct it if you so choose. Breathe to feel better in this moment.
Step #3: NOTICE THIS MOMENT
Overwhelm is about paying attention to too many things as once. If you want to feel better instantly, notice THIS moment. Here and now. Just for a minute, or even a few seconds. That’s all it takes. When you bring your awareness into the now, you truly notice that now is all there ever is, even if it’s just for a moment. You never get the same now; it’s always a new now. And guess what? That’s where we create from! You get to start over again each and every moment. So what do you choose to create from this moment?
Stopping, taking a deep breath, and noticing this moment here and now are the three keys to unraveling overwhelm. The next step would be choosing to reset your energetic vibration about all those little things that added up to the overwhelm. Start by taking one thing at a time, starting with the most important or pressing thing. Look at that thing and notice how you FEEL about it. Don’t judge yourself, just notice your feelings. If you feel mostly negative about it, think of something positive about it, something you truly believe, even if it’s a small step. You’ll be rewarded greatly for taking it!

Intentional Intuition
Have you ever known something was going to happen right before it happened? Have you ever met someone for the first time and felt like you've known them before? Have you ever had a dream at night and then seen it actually play out in your waking life? Have you ever used your imagination, created something in your mind, and then had it come true? These are all examples of intuition at work behind the scenes, and everyone has a good story or two of these seemingly unexplainable experiences.
Everyone has intuition working in the background, because everyone is a part of Spirit. But not everyone is using their inborn intuition intentionally. In our modern Western world, we are not taught about our intuition. In fact, from a very early age, we learn to turn away from our intuition. We might hear a parent say something like, "That's just your imagination—it's not real," when their child tells them about the friends he or she can see, but the parents can't. What most parents don't know is that imagination is more real than they can imagine!
The truth is, imagination is a big part of intuition. And the first step to using your intuition intentionally is to engage with your imagination. One of my first experiences with “healing guides” (guides who are not in physical bodies) was in a metaphysical workshop that was introducing us to intentionally using our intuition. The workshop instructor told us to close our eyes and imagine one of our healing guides. When I closed my eyes, I didn’t see anything. I told the instructor that I was having trouble seeing anything, and she said, “Make it up! Just tell me the first thing that comes to mind.” I began to describe a young-looking Native American woman with long black hair, a full-length dress made of sheep skin, with a powerful and determined look in her eyes. It was such a powerful feeling, that I easily began to see her in my mind’s eye. I recognized her as a being I knew well, though not in this physical life.
A few years after that workshop, I was sitting across from a young metaphysical student who was being trained by one of my teachers. She was instructed to give me a reading about my healing guide. Sitting across from her, I wondered what she was going to come up with, and to my amazement and delight, she began to describe my Native American healing guide exactly as I know her to be! It was exhilarating to know that the “imagined” healing guide I had so quickly made up years ago was making her presence known through this young and obviously gifted metaphysical student. My “imagination” had come through another person, someone who had never met me (or my guide!) before.
When we begin to understand that there is so much more to who we really are than our physical bodies or our physical surroundings, we begin to use our intuition intentionally. Realize that you do have tremendous capacity for guiding your life, and it all begins with using your imagination intentionally.

3 Steps to Finding Your Joy
Joseph Campbell said it all when he advised humanity to, "follow your bliss." Those three words are the best words ever spoken. If you choose what makes YOU happy and joyful, you not only please yourself but you increase the happiness and joy in the world. With all the stress of our modern life, what a beautiful idea finding your joy is. So how do you do it? How do we find your joy? Start by remembering, smoothly transition into selecting, and finish with creating your own powerful roadmap.
First, remember a situation where you completely lost track of time. Remember several of them. What were you doing in each situation? What had your attention so rapt that you lost track of time? On a piece of paper, write down the things you were doing, along with other things you love doing—anything that brings you joy. Now look at all those activities and ask yourself what it is that they give you. How do they make you feel? Some possibilities would be freedom, connection, aliveness, or maybe even bliss. Now think of other things that might give you this same feeling (or feelings); things you may not have ever tried.
Now for the second step, of all the things you wrote down, circle the ones that stand out to you. Select only those things or feelings that most resonate with you right now. Notice the connection of those selections. What do they have in common? What emerges on your paper is a rough blueprint of who you are in this moment. You are a magnificent and ingenious being who is on the leading edge of creation for the pure joy and expansion of it all. You cannot get it wrong. Whatever picture you see, let’s now craft it and bring it into clearer focus.
The third and final step is to pull out a fresh sheet of paper. Of all the things you circled, list the activities that resonate most with you on the left side of the paper. On the right side, list the feeling or feelings you circled. The list on the right side is the goal. Whenever you have a choice to make, ask yourself if that choice will invoke any of the feelings that you listed. If the answer is weak, or you’re not sure, or it’s a “no,” then you might want to look in another direction. Unless the answer is a resounding "YES!", then look for another choice.
The only way to “follow your bliss” is to know what your bliss is. Luckily, humanity comes equipped with a built in radar system for detecting which direction to look for it. The list of feelings you now have is the key to finding your joy. Keep heading in their direction and you will find all that you are seeking.
